When suffering an depression episode, people will sometimes feel sick to their stomach, knots in their gut, overall body aches and pains, or exacerbated chronic conditions. It will also lower the body’s immune system causing constant illnesses; such as the flu or a cold.
Anger and Irritability
If you are constantly depressed it is easier for people to become frustrated. In most instances people that are frustrated usually manifest anger. Some people believe that anger is merely depression turned inwards. Having little things that normally don’t bother you control the mood of your day is a common symptom of depression.
Many people find that they are unable to focus/concentrate when suffering depression. For some a simple task is being drug out for three or four times longer than it should take, others struggle to formulate their thoughts coherently. This can be very hard to deal with, especially at work.
